Cedar Valley Corp. was selected as the co-winner in the Interstate and Expressways category by the Nebraska Concrete Paving Association for the Columbus, Nebraska project. The award was presented at the awards banquet January 29, 2003 at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska. Winning this award at the state level makes it eligible for national consideration.
The Nebraska Concrete Paving Association had this to say about the Columbus project:
"This construction is in keeping with the highest traditions of the concrete industry and demonstrates superior skill, integrity, accomplishment and pride in workmanship. Your efforts to achieve quality construction are acknowledged and honored on behalf of users everywhere."
