Cedar Valley Corp. was presented with the Award of Merit Concrete Pavement Construction by the Nebraska Concrete Paving Association (NCPA) on January 24, 2012. The award recognizes the high quality concrete pavement on the Plymouth South, Jefferson County, Nebraska project which was rated the best Secondary State Highway or County Road project in 2011.
The projects are rated to determine the best pavements designed and constructed during the current contract year. The Awards program is intended to encourage high quality workmanship in every concrete pavement project. Projects are rated on smoothness, innovation, management, safety, complexity, appearance, and quality control.
“This project, a major project for Jefferson County Nebraska, will serve them for years to come, in part by your quality workmanship on this project. Jefferson County is proud of this project and speaks highly about it among their peers,” writes Christopher Lane, Vice President/Owner of Speece Lewis Engineers in a congratulatory letter to Cedar Valley. “The road is now being heavily used and the residents are amazed and happy with how smooth the road is.”
