NPHQ defines a quality project as one bringing "all stakeholders to the table - from roadway professionals to local citizens and businesses - to plan, coordinate, and carry out a roadway construction or maintenance project so that it delivers the maximum return on the public's investment". NPHQ presented Cedar Valley Corp. with the Gold Level Winner Award in recognition of working partnerships on the US 71 Iowa Great Lakes Project.

American Concrete Pavement Association Excellence in Concrete Pavement Award
Cedar Valley Corp., together with a team of 29 subcontractors, completed work on the final 2.4 miles of Interstate 35/80 on the north side of Des Moines, Iowa. It was the largest contract in the Iowa DOT’s history – nearly $38 million – and was completed one year ahead of schedule.
