Cedar Valley Corp. was honored with a Bravo Award for the eighth year in a row. The Bravo Award is the highest award that the chapter can present to one of its member companies. This award exemplifies CVC’s philosophy of giving back to the industry and our community. CVC was commended for our contribution of donations to help fund scholarship programs for the AGC of Iowa Foundation, AGC of America Education & Research Foundation, Iowa State University, and Hawkeye Community College. Numerous other organizations benefited as a result of CVC’s donation to the Community Foundation of Waterloo/Cedar Falls & Northeast Iowa. Cedar Valley Corp. employees also adopted local families in need at Thanksgiving by donating food items and purchasing gifts for them at Christmas.
The Bravo Awards program was initiated in 2001 to recognize those Associated General Contractors of Iowa (AGC/I) member firms who are involved in improving the quality of life in their community and who project a positive image for the construction industry through contributions of funds, labor, materials, equipment and leadership. In many communities throughout the state, AGCI members are leading corporate citizens. With this comes a degree of responsibility for philanthropy. The members honored with Bravo Awards go the extra mile to try to improve the quality of life in their communities through contributions of cash, labor, materials, equipment and project management.
