It took time for Cedar Valley Corp. (CVC) of Waterloo, Iowa to be convinced of G&Z’s equipment value. CVC has been on G&Z’s list of potential customers since 1983. CVC’s Equipment Manager, has been a regular visitor at G&Z’s booth at Iowa’s Annual ACPA Workshop. He was finally able to “kick the treads” of an actual S850 Paver at ConExpo in 2002. Impressed by what he saw he brought other members of CVC’s paving team to look at the S850. In December 2002, almost twenty years after that first sales call, CVC ordered the G&Z S850 Slipform Paver and became the first in Iowa to purchase this paver.
