Cedar Valley Corp. Participates in Second Annual Touch-a-Truck Event

Date Published: Sunday, October 2, 2011

On October 1, 2011, families from the Cedar Valley were given an opportunity to climb in and around a variety of vehicles, thanks in part to Cedar Valley Corp. Hosted by the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls, the second annual Touch-a-Truck event was held at the RiverLoop Expo in downtown Waterloo. This family-friendly activity allowed children and their parents to get up close and personal with such vehicles as a police car, snow plow, school bus, street sweeper and tractor, to name a few. Cedar Valley Corp. was happy to provide its Telehandler for children to inspect at the event.

Over 800 hundred families from the area enjoyed the event. When they weren't climbing in and out of over twenty different vehicles, kids could also jump in bounce houses, get their face painted, pick out a balloon animal, create and destroy their own cardboard city with play trucks and enjoy food from the numerous vendors.

Proceeds from the event go towards the Junior League’s mission of impacting the community with a focus on women and children. Undoubtedly helped by a beautiful October day, the Junior League feels the event was a great success and one that Cedar Valley Corp. was proud to have a part in.
