Safety at Cedar Valley Corp. goes beyond policies given to employees during orientation; it is the standard by which we perform.
Cedar Valley Corp. has established a top-notch, behavior based safety program. We are all very proud or our OSHA reportable statistics here at Cedar Valley Corp. Ove the past several years we have greatly reduced our lost work day incident rates to well under industry averages and in 2004 and 2005 they were ZERO. At Cedar Valley Corp. we recognize that most accidents are preventable and we remain committed to our goal of ZERO accidents.
Responsibility for safety is shared at every level of our organization. We employ a full time safety director who provides safety and training, inspections, audits and a formalized system of reporting. Employees are trained to identify and correct unsafe working conditions and/or practices. Our dedication to safety not only keeps workers and the traveling public safe, it positively impacts every project since productivity goes up when less time is lost in accidents. At Cedar Valley Corp. safety is a priority and it does make a difference!
Safety Incentives
Cedar Valley Corp. strives to instill in each employee the desire to keep our entire workplace accident-free through its Safety Incentive Programs. Therefore, all employees are required to follow our safety program. By working safely, employees of Cedar Valley Corp. are eligible to earn safety points, which are redeemed through our CVC Rewards program.
High Visibility Wear Program
Cedar Valley Corp. has implemented a high visibility, safety clothing policy for all its field employees. Employees are required to wear high visibility safety lime green shirts (or vests) at all times on the job.
After 30 days of employment employees are given two T-shirts embroidered with the Cedar Valley Corp. logo. Additional safety clothing items are available to employees at a reduced rate. Payroll deduction may be used to pay for the clothing items.

Cedar Valley Corp. is committed to a safety program and a goal of zero accidents. Because the majority of accidents are preventable, Cedar Valley Corp. continues to put safety first.
